Going to the zoo, zoo, zoo...how about you, you, you?!?

We polished off the last day of our Spring Break with a trip to the zoo! I decided a little slide show was in order to share some highlights of the road trip! It was Gracyn's first time to visit a zoo and Cade's second. The sun was shining, a breeze was blowing, the animals were majestic, and the only stinky area was the elephants...so fun times were had by all.

Cade reported that his favorite animal he'd seen that day was the sloth and Gracie reported her favorite thing that day was eating all the snacks out of the snack bag! HA!

Enjoy

Menu Monday...an ode to our best friend

What's on our menu when Mommy doesn't feel like cooking or we've eaten sandwiches for 4 days straight or the dog (whose name shall remain anonymous to protect the privacy of the accused) jumps up on the table and gobbles up the sandwiches I just made using up the last slices of wheat bread in the house, while we were changing Gracyn's diaper in her room ?

Our favorite place...

CHICK-FIL-A

To commemorate this delicious, satisfying, and always CHOCKED full of screaming kids...mine included...restaurant, please enjoy this little ditty. It sums up our feelings perfectly!
Love you Chick-fil-a.

SOLDIER

Rees, you have made our family very proud.

We stand by you and support you as you choose a military career as your next step in life.

As you leave home, remember that you are loved, that you are prayed for, and that we believe in your dreams.

I love this quote by Harriet Tubman from an autobiographical novel,

"Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world."

Love you Weezer :)

LOOKS like Spring, just doesn't feel like it...

I decided it was time to freshen up the house with all of our spring decorations! Perfect timing right? The weather seems to be having it's last (fingers crossed) winter hoop-la of the year this week! It has been raining for 2 days now and in the 40's!!! Thank goodness Easter falls late this year! Hopefully this arctic burst nonsense will be long gone by then! I'm ready for tulips, daffodils, and Easter lilies...how about y'all?

The most realistic "fake" chocolate bunny you'll ever lay eyes on! He reminds me of the ones I use to find in my own Easter basket as a little girl.

The nest was a real find at the Home Goods store,
$7.99 and just bursting with colors, feathers, and speckled eggs!!!None the less, at least it appears like springtime is just around the corner...inside Casita de Alaniz that is.

Q: Am I still alive? A: YES!!!!!!

Dear Blog,

Please forgive me for neglecting you these past few weeks. It seems that I have just not had the time to visit with you lately. While you are a priority to me, my husband, kids, friends, and home will always come first. These are nearest and dearest to my heart :)

Now that things are more settled on the home front, I look forward to visiting with you, recording memories, and posting photographs once again! Thanks for remaining faithful and understanding!

Sincerely,
Your Favorite Livin' La Vida Loca Mammasita
